Under the Canopy is the first installment in our habitat series. This incredible visually stunning exhibit introduces visitors to the world of rainforests, rainforest ecology and issues affecting many of the world’s rainforest and the people and animals that call them home.

The exhibit text and animal habitats are set in beautifully printed floor to ceiling murals of rainforest from around the world. Featuring giant snakes, crocodilians, tarantulas, scorpions, piranhas, lizards, Pacific parrotlets (one of the world’s smallest parrots), Brazilian short-tailed possums, and more. This wonderful display transforms your exhibit area into a piece of the rainforest.

A full-time staff member is on hand open to close daily to interact with your guests as well as perform up to 4 formal educational programs per day. This exhibit is truly interactive and engaging and will bring your guests back again and again throughout the exhibit’s run.

FUN AND ENGAGING PRESENTATIONS

My staff in Interpretation have all remarked how amazing Little Ray’s presentation staff are with regards to their ability to engage with the public. The conservation message is always very clear and their presentations fun and engaging.

Survival of the Slowest takes a moment to ponder animal evolution. People have a limited view of evolution and adaptation that says that animals need to be the strongest, the biggest and the fastest in order to compete against other animals and survive.

In reality, there are many more evolutionary strategies out there than simply being the biggest or fastest, and there are just as many advantages to being small and slow. Featuring animals like tortoises and sloths which have survived for millions of years despite being very slow, this exhibit explores the counterintuitive side of evolution and adaptation.

A full-time staff member is on hand open to close daily to interact with your guests as well as perform up to 4 formal educational programs per day. This exhibit is truly interactive and engaging and will bring your guests back again and again throughout the exhibit’s run.

A SHINING EXAMPLE OF A GREAT INTERACTIVE ZOO

Fun with Frogs and Friends! This is one of the most diverse and beautiful groups of animals you’ll ever meet. Learn about the key roles they play in our ecosystem and what makes a frog a frog. Find out how and why they sing, what happens during metamorphosis, and much more.

Visitors of all ages will be surprised by the wonderful world of frogs. They’ll also delight in meeting a variety of related species, including other amphibians, animals that eat frogs, and animals that are eaten by frogs.

A full-time staff member is on hand open to close daily to interact with your guests as well as perform up to 4 formal educational programs per day. This exhibit is truly interactive and engaging and will bring your guests back again and again throughout the exhibit’s run.

Ready to visit Wild America? While everyone is aware of elephants, giant pandas, giraffes and dozens of other animals that live on the other side of the globe, people tend to know very little about the animals in their own backyards.

Wild America is an exhibit that celebrates local biodiversity and informs visitors of the interesting species in their own neighbourhoods. How are these creatures faring, and what can people do to help them? Each installation of this exhibit is unique as it will feature animals and information specific to the region it is being deployed in.

A full-time staff member is on hand open to close daily to interact with your guests as well as perform up to 4 formal educational programs per day. This exhibit is truly interactive and engaging and will bring your guests back again and again throughout the exhibit’s run.

A HIGHLY EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCE

My children had a wonderful experience at Little Ray’s. They really enjoyed seeing all of the animals and getting to learn about some of the new additions to the zoo. Staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. Great with little kids! A highly educational experience. Get the family pass – you won’t regret it!!

Nature’s Ninjas – Defences of the Animal Kingdom introduces visitors to some of the most incredible defences in the animal kingdom. The exhibit will amaze visitors presenting some of nature’s awe-inspiring and wildest defensive adaptations. Set against a strikingfloor-to-ceiling, black and grey watermarked forest background, the white text and naturalistic animal habitats jump out at visitors.

Stunning photographs of these incredible species of animals complement the imposing nature of this display. Did you know that chameleons do not change color for camouflage? Or, that some octopus can change not only the color, but even the texture of their skin to perfectly camouflage with their environment? Uncover incredible natural disguises at Nature’s Ninjas.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND – THIS PLACE IS AMAZING!

OMG this place is amazing! We were lucky enough to watch them feed the croc! Wow! All the animals are looked after very well and the staff is very knowledgeable about all the residents in their care. Would highly recommend people going to see this totally worth the visit.
